I loved planning and working on this brand campaign in the nineties, for vertical cashmere and sister of TSE, Cashmere by Design; with photographer, Nick Ferrand and model, #LidijaZovkic from Storm Model Management. It was one of her first campaigns, and her star was definitely in the ascendancy as she eventually went onto become an actress, appearing in The Beach alongside Leonardo di Caprio.
The collection was sold via luxury London department stores – Dickins and Jones and Fenwicks and its own outlet in Covent Garden. I wanted to shoot the campaign in an environment which reflected the sumptuousness of cashmere and reflected brand aspirations. We literally hijacked the lovely Hollington House Hotel in Hampshire, maximizing the opportunity to shoot in such grand, opulent surroundings both inside and out, this image was taken on the back seat of the hotel’s vintage Bentley.
The Advertising Buy further reflected the luxury aspirations and positioning of the Brand, including high profile publications such as Vogue, Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar which research showed us were being consumed by our target demographic, along with local, premium London titles such as The Resident and Fabric magazine.
